An undeniable driving force in the electronic dance music universe, Renowned Berlin-based DJ, producer, and Sous Music label boss Anja Schneider’s cutting-edge creativity and unwavering oneness have seen her not only captivate club rooms and festival stages globally but also solidified her credibility as a leading musical creator with releases on several of the industry’s most respected label outfits. Her latest release is another telling deluge of genre-blurring danceability as she prepares to release a stunning three-track EP on her Sous Music imprint.

Released on 5th May, Anja’s ‘The Good, the Bad & the Acid’ EP celebrates her stylistic versatility, offering generous portions of Techno, Acid, Italo, Electro and more.

The more club-focused cuts like ‘The Good, the Bad & the Acid’ with its pulsating deep Techno persona and rich acid textures, and ‘Hoover Disco’, fusing racy Breaks-inspired grooves and vivid Italo melodies, offer a more energetic element of danceability.

Conversely, Anja takes a leftfield approach with the final track on the release, diving deep into a nostalgic pool of vintage sounds to carve out a vocal-led trip back in time on ‘Before We Meet Again’.

“After a couple of years producing more deep house tracks - tracks which I consider to stay longer in your memory and being timeless I want to reflect more my DJ style, which was always a bit more techno and always origin. Friends called it “schneiderhouse” - which is always hypnotic, groovy, sexy… I’m not a big fan of categories and genres and a heavy believer that music should be free in its expression and not stuck in drawers. That’s why I’m still liking electronic club music the most. For me, it’s my honest record now. Honest because it’s me.” - Anja Schneider

Anja Schneider’s ‘The Good, the Bad & the Acid’ EP is available from 5th May 2023 on Sous Music. The EP will also be released as a series of streaming singles on Spotify in the weeks leading up to 5th May.
